NO UNITY, NO COMMUNITY
How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!

Unity is built right into the word community, and biblical community grows as believers share a devotion to Christ. The strongest communities are shaped by people who bring different stories, gifts, and perspectives together around one shared purpose. It's an environment that makes room for honest conversations, prayer, differences and growth without judgment.
Psalm 133 confirms that unity is good and pleasant. Romans 15, beginning with May God, implies that we should seek God first for patience and encouragement. Harmony begins with God. If we want to live in unity with one another, we must first seek Him for the grace to be patient, the courage to encourage, and the humility to pursue peace.
In 2 Timothy, Paul speaks plainly to Timothy. The word Again shows that Paul is repeating this warning because it matters. Small disagreements can grow into deep divisions when they're left unresolved. Don't sweat the small stuff is often wise advice, but it doesn't mean we should ignore small irritations. Instead, we should handle them with patience, truth and love while the stakes are still low. We maintain unity by doing our best to live in harmony with one another—not perfectly, but with grace.
APPLICATION: Evaluate the relationships in your life—marriage, children, friendships, church and work. Would you say you have unity in those relationships? Ask the Spirit to highlight anything hindering unity and guide you toward a plan of restoration.
PRAYER: Father, give me wisdom, patience and discernment to live in unity through Your Spirit in my relationships. Amen.
